Ekaterina Ilyina joined the St. Petersburg office of Boyden in July 2007 as a Senior Associate performing functions of a Business Development Director.

Ekaterina commenced her professional career in the Academy of Sciences of Russia at the Institute of Social-Economic Problems Research and then moving on to the Mayor’s Office of St. Petersburg, acquiring her first project development experience as a Senior Specialist in the Department of External Affairs.

Ekaterina was the first Russian employee in Baker & McKenzie, St. Petersburg, where she gained invaluable knowledge of human resources management.

Ekaterina first joined Boyden in 2001 as a Selection Division Director engaged in business, strategic and personnel development, as well as market analysis. In two years she was headhunted to work for Colliers International, a leading multinational consulting company providing integrated real estate services, as an Administrative Director. At Colliers Ekaterina held HR budget responsibility, participated in the development of Compensation & Benefits system, the performance appraisal process and diverse welcome, adaptation and induction programmes, external education and training.

In order to develop her skills portfolio, Ekaterina in the course of her business career joined a number of Gazprom investment projects as a Head of Investments in the Projects Department; coordinating international working groups, including City administration for such projects.

Prior to joining Boyden for the second time, Ekaterina worked for the leading Russian logistics, transportation and car dealership company EUROSIB as HR Director. She secured implementation of the entire HR administration function, elaborating company standards and policies, monitoring employees’ motivation and facilitating improvements, as well as outlined the direction for the company’s strategic development and business plan for the company’s business units.

Ekaterina enjoys a particularly successful track record in searching, screening, identifying, assessing and contacting local executives for global corporations in the Transport and Logistics, Telecommunications, Professional Services and Manufacturing spheres.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Philology from the State University in St. Petersburg; and in 2000 – 2007 she received extensive training in Strategic Marketing, Project Management, Finance, Labour Law and Neuro-linguistic programming.
