Gary W. Huggins is a Managing Director in Boyden’s Toronto office where he specializes in senior-level searches for technology companies. To his clients and candidates, he brings a strong technical and management background with a comprehensive understanding of the technology industry. His unique experience in startups and managing publicly traded technology companies is beneficial to both established and emerging public and private companies. 



Gary has completed assignments in various sectors for companies ranging from early stage entrepreneurial ventures to large scale corporations. For these clients he has placed board members, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers as well as Vice Presidents of engineering, marketing, sales and customer care. He has also strong recruiting experience in manufacturing and supply chain management.



Prior to joining Boyden Global Search, Gary was a founder and Managing Partner with M+H Search Partners Inc., a Toronto based search firm. He was previously a Managing Director in Korn/Ferry International’s Toronto office and head of their Canadian Advanced Technology practice. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Huggins was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nextra Technologies Inc. (now Nuvo Network Management Inc. TSX:NVO), a publicly traded company focused on delivering sophisticated telecommunications network operations solutions to companies. He previously held the position of Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for SoftKey Software Products Inc. which became The Learning Company. SoftKey was a publicly traded (TSX and NASDAQ) consumer software package distributor and one of Canada’s fastest growing companies in the early 1990’s before being sold to Mattel Toys.



Gary received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo. He is active in community organizations and is currently involved with the Outreach and Honduras Mission Committees of Kingsway Lambton United Church and participated in their 2003 Mission to Honduras. He is also a member of the Craigleith Ski Club and Lambton Golf and Country Club. He is married with two daughters.
