Tim Hogan is a Principal and a member of the firm’s Financial Services practice. His particular area of expertise is the Insurance sector, where he has successfully placed leadership in the disciplines of underwriting, claims, and field operations, as well as senior finance roles.

Also a member of Boyden’s Human Resources practice, Tim has extensive functional expertise from his distinguished career of more than 25 years in senior human resources and staffing positions across a variety of industries. In addition to his corporate human resources career, Tim has experience within the executive search industry. Most recently, he was the Managing Director of another retained executive search firm in Baltimore.

Prior to becoming a search professional, Tim was the Global Vice President of Human Resources with Black & Decker Corporation and the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Zurich Commercial. He arrived in the Baltimore area in 1992 to design and implement the executive leadership structure for USF&G Insurance. Tim spent his early career in progressively responsible human resources roles with PepsiCo, Inc.

His international experience includes a leadership role as Vice President International Human Resources with Sylvan Learning Systems. Based in Barcelona, Spain, Tim managed the human resources function for Sylvan’s operations in 33 countries on five continents.

Tim holds a B.A. degree from Seton Hall University and completed his graduate studies in Industrial Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
