Yukio Soeda has experienced CEO-level searches in the technology, consumer goods, manufacturing, and services industries. Prior to joining Boyden, he has had over 30 years of experience in the IT industry and consumer goods industry. His corporate career started in 1968 with J. Oswa & Co. Japan, which handles consumer goods such as sporting goods, clocks and watches, cameras etc. He was transferred to Paris, France to establish its own subsidiary to distribute cameras as Finance and Accounting Manager.

To advance his career, as a senior executive he joined Bohsei Enterprise Inc., Japan which handles TVs, Clocks and Citizen Band Radios etc. He was also transferred to Los Angeles, USA to establish its own subsidiary as Finance and Accounting Manager. Having lived in the US and France, he has a unique understanding of both Japan and Western cultures, which has helped him serve his clients better.

In 1981, he joined Digital Equipment Corporation, Japan. He has held various top-management positions and made significant contributions to managing different organizations such as Educational Services, Consulting Services and Personal Computers Business Unit. In 1996, he joined Silicon Graphics Inc. as Managing Director in charge of Sales Organization and also made significant contributions to the growth of the company.

He is a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from Keio University and has undergone training and development in a variety of management subjects at Advance Management Program at University of Hawaii and at INSEAD in France.
