President of Boyden Turkey, based in Istanbul, Özlem Ergün is an expert on Human Resources and Organization Management. She has 20 years of professional experience in the Human Resources field initially as a senior executive and followed by 10 years in executive search and selection.

Having worked in multinational environments in Turkey, she has an executive management experience in international organizations and local conditions, ranging from recruitment, training, compensation and benefits to all aspects of Human Resources Management. Particularly she has accumulated more than 20 years experience in selection interviews.

Özlem graduated from AKL (American Collegiate for Girls, Izmir) in 1978 with Honors. She received a scholarship and went to USA as an AFS exchange student. Özlem received her B.A. in Psychology (1982) and M.B.A. in Social Psychology (1984) from Bosphorus University (Istanbul) as an Honor’s List Student, which is the top university in Turkey.

She worked as an assistant in the Psychology Department until 1984, taking active role in nation-wide researches about cognitive development during pre-school education.

Ergün started her professional career in Union Carbide Turkey Inc. as “Personnel and Administration Manager” (1985-89).

From 1989 to 1992, she joined Digital Equipment Turkey Inc. as the “Human Resources and Organization Director” and a member of the Country Management Team. She worked actively in the start-up and growth years.

She was one of the founding partners of a Search and Selection company during the years 1992-1998. From 1995-98, she represented two leading global search firms as their local business partner. She also pioneered nation wide salary and benefits surveys with Watson Wyatt Data Services Europe. Since 1998 she is the Managing Director of Boyden Global Executive Search-Turkey, a pioneer in Executive Search (est. in 1946, operating in more than 45 countries and 70 offices)and specialized in senior executive searches. She is one of the top recruiters in the Turkish Job Market.

Member of Turkish American Businessmen Association (TABA), TÜGÝAD (Young- Turkish Businessman Association) ,French Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce, AFS-TKV, American Board Schools Alumni Association, BÜMED (Bosphorus University Alumni Club), PERYÖN (Personnel Manager’s Association), YDD (Management Consultants’ Association), Özlem is married with two sons.
