Welcome to the Boyden Baltimore-Washington website.  Founded in 1946, Boyden pioneered the use of executive search and today we are one of the largest privately owned search firms in the world.  We are privately owned by choice to ensure that our resources are allocated in addressing the needs of our clients.

Boyden's presence in the Baltimore-Washington area goes back to 1978 and was originally led by a well-connected search professional and former member of the White House.  While we are well known in the DC area relative to Federal government and Federal contractors, government relations and public affairs, and not-for-profit sector work, we have core strengths in numerous other industry sectors.  

Aerospace, Defense and Intelligence is a significant global practice area along with financial services including insurance; transportation & logistics; professional services/management consulting; legal; technology & telecommunications; and board services. We serve a broad array of private equity and venture capital clients. 

From a functional perspective we have special practice groups that address senior level needs in the finance, government affairs, human resources, information technology/information security, legal, and risk management/security functions.   

Boyden has a differentiation strategy based on "full disclosure" and absolute transparency in collaborating with our clients.  We are a founding member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants and have taken an industry leadership role with respect to ethics and best practices.
