Richard A. McCallister joined Boyden in 1990.  He was formerly President of William H. Clark Associates, Inc. In 1990 the two firms merged.  He has extensive experience in management consulting and executive search for various multi-national corporations, financial institutions, manufacturing, distribution and service businesses, healthcare organizations, privately held companies, and not-for-profit organizations. Mr. McCallister’s previous experience includes a decade of Price Waterhouse conducting management consulting.  He has completed a significant number of related executive search assignments, including public and private entity searches for president and chief executive officers and chief operating officers.  He is a member of Boyden's Board Practice.

During the past two decades, Mr. McCallister has successfully handled search assignments for diversified corporations and new business ventures, as well as Fortune 500 companies.  He has served a broad range of institutions and their boards.  These organizations include: insurance, healthcare, multi-national consumer product and product distribution companies, manufacturing concerns, business products, and professional service firms. 

Mr. McCallister has served on the Board of Directors of three publicly held corporations.  In addition, he has been a Board member for three privately held companies. Richard presently serves as Chairman of the Board of a biotechnology company, is President of the Board for a private membership organization, and acts as a consultant to the owners of a privately held manufacturing company. In addition, he has served on the Executive Committee of a major metropolitan hospital, has been President of a major educational institution’s Board, President of an independently funded educational lobby, and a member of several state government task forces.  He has also served on the Board of the Association of Executive Search Consultants and is cited in The New Career Makers - North America’s Top Executive Recruiters, a Harper Business publication. 

Mr. McCallister is often a speaker on topics ranging from funding start-up companies to executive mobility, compensation, and organization.
