Christiaan joined Boyden in 2007 as Director Life Sciences of the Brussels office.

He holds a Master's degree in Biology, with specialty of Behavioral Sciences from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.

In 1979, after graduation, Christiaan entered Sandoz Ltd. (presently Novartis Ltd) in Belgium in Sales and Marketing. He held afterwards different international strategic marketing and area management positions and was promoted in 1990 to General Manager in Saudi Arabia and finally to Managing Director of the Hong Kong / PR China affiliate.

In 1996, he joined in Belgium a well-known European specialist executive search group, focusing on the Benelux where he acquired the search expertise, establishing a successful client’s portfolio in Life Sciences and Biotechnology.

In 2000, he co-founded an e-Health company with focus on Disease-Management, which successfully implemented software / service programs for diabetes-care and cardiovascular risk management in the Netherlands. Over the next 7 years, he was responsible for strategic, organizational and HR aspects of the development and growth of the business.

Christiaan offers more than 25 years of Life Sciences and Healthcare expertise as well as hands-on experience in both cross-cultural management and entrepreneurship in business. He handles search assignments and assessments to help clients to build successful organizations. Next to his Dutch mother tongue, he is fluent in French, English and German.
