Roberto Itzaina was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and he studied at the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay.

During his career he has held executive positions in diverse fields: General Manager of The Gillette Company for Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia; General Manager of a major TV station in Montevideo; Vice President at Citigroup, where he developed the local market for private retirement plans. In 2000 joined Moore Corporation’s Argentine subsidiary in Buenos Aires where he later led a management buyout of that firm.

In 2007 he joined Boyden Brazil, and he works from a base in Montevideo.
