Tim C. McNamara

Tim has over 18 years of senior level international search experience. He leads his office's Government/Public Sector Practice and the Global Professional Services Practice. He is the co-founder of the Risk Management/Security Practice and a member of the Board Practice.

Prior to search Tim was a senior professional with Booz Allen Hamilton within their Applied Science Center in Washington, DC. There he consulted to US and foreign multi-nationals and governments relative to economic feasibility, organization development, operating, technology, strategy, and succession planning issues.

Before his management consulting career Tim represented separate American, Danish, French, and German companies engaged in global engineered logistical operations serving industry and governments.

Tim earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Loyola College of Maryland and undertook graduate studies in International Commerce at George Washington University. He is U.S. Treasury Licensed Customhouse Broker.

In the first Reagan Administration Tim was appointed as a special advisor to the Honorable Malcolm Baldridge, Secretary of Commerce.

He is a former member of the National Defense Executive Reserve and formerly sat on the Human Resource Committee of the Biotechnology Technology Organization (BIO). He is a member of the Aero Club of Washington DC, American Society of Association Executives (ASAE),American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), nominated to be a member of the Catholic Health Association of the United States, Council of Logistics Management (CML), Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), Global Telecommunications Association, Institute of Financial Engineers, International Association of Counterterrorism & Security Professionals (IACSP),International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and the National Aeronautical Association. He represents Boyden as a World Business Partner of Airports Council International (ACI) in Geneva.

In 1981 he was appointed Consul of Denmark the State of Maryland and is a non career member of the Danish Foreign Service. Tim was knighted by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark in 1989.

In 2003 he was selected as one of twelve leading search industry executives to co-author the book CAREER EMPOWERMENT, published by Aspatore Books.

An Eagle Scout, Tim lives in Maryland and is a board member of Horizon Resources Corporation.
