Maarten started his career with Hilton International where he spent 10 years in different international Management positions.
He worked in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Paris and Amsterdam.
Afterwards he worked for the holding of the Autobar Group as Business Development Manager throughout Europe.

Between 1991 and 1994 he was Managing Director of the SCN Trade Organisation in the Netherlands.

In 1994 Maarten joined a leading search organisation in Amsterdam as a senior Consultant. This is a mid size search firm with offices in London, Brussels, Paris, Zurich, Barcelona and Frankfurt.

In 1997, with several colleagues, as a partner he joined another leading search firm. They rapidly built the company up into a highly successful organisation employing upto 18 professionals in the search and recruitment business.

This company has since then merged its activities with the Boyden Global Search practise.

Maarten graduated from the Michigan State & Cornell University in the USA.

In addition to his professional activities he enjoys skiing and travelling and above all he is a golf enthusiast.
