Tim is the Managing Director of Boyden Washington, DC. He has over 20 years of senior level international search experience and leads his office's Government and Public Sector and Professional Services practice groups. He is the co-founder of the Risk Management/Security practice and a member of the Board Services practice.

His search consulting career began with Booz Allen Hamilton’s Applied Science Center in Washington, DC, where he was part of the practice group consulting to U.S. and foreign governments and multi-national organizations. Tim was selected by Booz Allen to lead their international search practice group, addressing the senior human capital needs of large, global public and private sector organizations. Prior to search, Tim represented various American, Danish, French, and German companies engaged in global engineered logistical operations serving both industry and government.

In 2008 Tim was named to the BusinessWeek World’s 100 Most Influential Headhunters list. He was also appointed to the Airports Council International World Security Standing Committee. In 2003 he was selected as one of 12 leading search industry executives to co-author the book, Career Empowerment, published by Aspatore Books.

In 1989, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark knighted him in recognition of outstanding service. Tim was appointed as special advisor to the U.S. Department of Commerce in the 1980’s and is a former member of the National Defense Executive Reserve.

He is a member and active participant of the following professional organizations: American Foreign Service Association, American Society of Industrial Security, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, International Association of Counterterrorism and Security Professionals, International Project Management Association, and Institute of Management Consultants.

Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola College and has completed graduate courses in international commerce at George Washington University. He is a U.S. Treasury Licensed Customhouse Broker. An Eagle Scout, Tim lives in Maryland and is a board member of Horizon Resources Corporation.
