NEW YORK – Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, today announced new practice leaders in Human Resources, Industrial and Life Sciences. Lisa Gerhardt will head Boyden’s Global HR Practice, John Howard will lead Boyden’s Global Industrial Practice and Christiaan Lebbink will direct the firm’s Global Life Sciences Practice.

Lisa Gerhardt, Human Resources Global Practice Leader: Mrs. Gerhardt, a Partner with Boyden London, has placed numerous C-level and senior executives across Consumer and Healthcare, with a particular specialty in Human Resources. Her clients have included multinationals such as Alliance Boots, McDonald’s and Nokia. Prior to joining Boyden in 2003, Mrs. Gerhardt was with another leading executive search firm. She began her career in Fast Moving Consumer Goods marketing with Kimberly Clarke in South Africa, prior to working for McCann Erickson. 

 

John Howard, Industrial Global Practice Leader: Mr. Howard, a Managing Director in Boyden Pittsburgh, has a top track record in placing Presidents, CFOs and other senior level executives for industrial equipment, global manufacturing and engineering companies throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific. His client list includes BlueScope Steel, Bucyrus International Inc. and Noranda Aluminum. In addition, his placement portfolio includes Operations, HR, Finance and Sales & Marketing. Mr. Howard joined Boyden in 2001 following a 20-year career in metals and engineered equipment industries. His tenures include four years as VP and General Manger of Danieli CentroMet USA, a division of Danieli Corporation and VP of Sales & Marketing for Fuchs Systems Inc.

 

Christiaan Lebbink, Life Sciences Global Practice Leader: Mr. Lebbink, Director in Boyden Brussels, brings 25 years of broad business expertise and understanding of Life Sciences as well as Healthcare. His client list includes Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Medical Device companies and his placement portfolio includes CEO, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Finance and Sales & Marketing. Mr. Lebbink has fulfilled a number of international C-level roles in Pharma and Healthcare and developed expertise in both cross-cultural management and entrepreneurship in businesses. Prior to joining Boyden in 2007, he co-founded an e-Health company with focus on Disease-Management, responsible for strategic, organizational and HR aspects of the business. Previously, he served as a Partner of a well known European executive search firm, specializing in Life Sciences and Biotechnology. He built his Life Sciences career with Sandoz Ltd. (presently Novartis Ltd), including 6 years as General Manager in Saudi Arabia and finally Managing Director of the Hong Kong / PR China affiliate. Mr. Lebbink holds a Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Amsterdam. He is fluent in Dutch, French, English and German.
