Barbara Ramundo joins Boyden after twenty years of nonprofit management and development experience. Prior to Boyden she was the Vice President of a boutique-style executive search firm devoted exclusively to serving the nonprofit sector. Under her tutelage, the firm built an impressive client base and expanded to acquire a national presence. In recruitment, she has consulted to health organizations and hospitals, educational institutions, social service agencies, cultural organizations and museums, advocacy groups, and foundations. Barbara has successfully completed searches for senior-level positions in management, fund development, communications, marketing, operations, and finance. Her search experience includes successfully completed searches for President, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director, Vice President for Advancement, Vice President of Planned Giving, Senior Director of Major and Planned Giving, Director of Development, and Director of Prospect Research, among others.
Barbara’s commitment to public service is evident in her long and varied nonprofit career. She is mission-driven and works in partnership with client organizations to take an integrated approach to executive search. A cornerstone of her recruitment efforts is addressing the needs and desires of both the staff and board. She focuses on furthering the organization’s goals and objectives during the transition process.
As a seasoned executive search professional, she is equipped with insights and tools to resourcefully lead and oversee all aspects of executive recruitment initiatives, effectively representing clients to potential candidates. As an avid researcher, she excels at conducting the discovery and investigation needed to gather the information that lays the foundation for relationship building and successful search outcomes.
Barbara graduated from the University of Maryland and received her Master of Education degree in Deaf Education from McDaniel College. She currently serves as board secretary for Harmony Montessori Center and is a member in good standing of the National Association of Personnel Services and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
