Bert Schiphorst is a highly experienced senior professional in the field of search for high calibre candidates for established companies in a wide variety of market sectors. His focus is on positions at the level of Directors, (senior) managers and specialists.

Bert started his career as a Reserve Cavalry officer in the Dutch Army after breaking off his studies in Psychology. He then studied Languages and was a teacher in English for 7 years.

In 1981, he joined a leading recruitment organization as one of the first consultants in the Netherlands with the aim to build a successful Dutch search and selection organisation.

For more than 10 years he was actively involved in various roles and positions in developing the organization on the Dutch market. By structured and extensive training programmes and international cooperation within this firm, he laid the foundations for his later activities in Executive Search.

As a result of his activities in Executive Service, he was asked to join another, Amsterdam based Dutch Search organization with several offices in Europe.

After six years a new challenge presented itself to start a new company from scratch in Executive Search with four other partners. Bert quickly built this firm up with good reputation in Holland and within 3 years employed 18 professionals.

After seven years of which he had been managing partner for four, he left together with his business partner at that time to join the Boyden organization in the Netherlands.

His long experience with a wide variety of companies and positions have turned him into a mature search professional with an international scope. He is dedicated to delivering quality to clients and candidates and aims at developing and establishing long lasting relationships.

Bert Schiphorst is fluent in English and German and has a profound interest in cultures in and outside of Europe.
