Douglas joined the firm in 1995 and is the Managing Director who leads all senior level searches related to the automotive industry and other clients in manufacturing. He has completed searches for titles such as Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer and Vice President titles in Operations, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Engineering, Quality, IT, etc.

Douglas is a past President of the Engineering Society of Detroit, the Science and Engineering Fair of Metropolitan Detroit and the Engineering and Science Development Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Body Engineers and the Harvard Business School Club of Detroit. His academic qualifications include the Program for Management Development, Harvard Business School; an MBA from the University of Dayton; and a BS in Engineering from the University of Nebraska.

Prior to entering executive search, Douglas had over 12 years of experience at the general management level as an automotive supplier with Aeroquip/Vickers Inc. including responsibility as VP & GM of North American Automotive Operations. In addition to automotive products, this business also served the appliance, telecommunications, marine and furniture industries. Earlier, he served as the first President of their joint venture with Japanese partner, Inoue, MTP. His functional experience prior to general management was in sales & marketing and engineering, both at Aeroquip/Vickers Inc., as well as at Irvin Industries, Inc. and General Motors Corporation.
