Doug Norton is based in Baltimore and conducts both national and international executive searches for companies ranging from Fortune 1000 corporations to start-up and development-stage firms making their initial entry into the marketplace.

Doug has led assignments for chief executive officers and directors, chief financial officers, general managers and functional heads of sales, marketing, human resources, service, manufacturing and supply chain management. Business segments he has served include aerospace/defense, medical technology and industrial companies. Doug has completed over 75 engagements for biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, successfully recruiting operating executives, research leaders, licensing executives, product development and product registration experts.

Mr. Norton has served retained executive search clients for nearly 15 years, working with several globally recognized firms. Before entering executive search in 1991 he was a Captain in the United States Navy whose career included both command of warships and diplomatic assignments in Brussels, Geneva, London and Washington, D.C. He was the first serving military officer to be selected by the Council on Foreign Relations as an International Affairs Fellow. Doug is a 1965 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he later served as Director (Dean) of International Studies and Chairman of the Admissions Board. He earned a Master’s degree from the University of Washington in Public Administration.
