Ellery Gordon is a Managing Director at Boyden Global Executive Search. Prior to joining Boyden, he was Vice President in the consumer products and services practice at A.T. Kearney. He has had more than 25 years of senior management experience in the consumer products industry. He has had extensive experience in consulting and strategic planning in the fields of retail, cosmetics and fashion. Among his current clients are L’Oréal, Ann Taylor Stores, Inc., Liz Claiborne, Inc., American Eagle Outfitters, IMG, Le Cirque Du Soleil, and USPA Properties (US Polo Association). Prior to entering the executive search profession, Ellery operated his own firm, Marketing Bridge Affiliates, a consulting practice providing brand marketing architecture to cosmetics, fashion, and retail companies. This practice followed his role as chief executive officer of MG Enterprises, a firm he co-founded to provide private label product development and sourcing services to a number of companies, including The Gap, Inc., Structure, Brooks Brothers, Polo, Haggar, Eastern Mountain Sports, Phillips Van Heusen, May Company and Bloomingdale's. Ellery was previously a co-founder and managing partner of the World Island and American Blue divisions of the Berkley Shirt Company and later became a managing partner of the parent company. He also served as president of Cacharel and Etienne Aigner Sport divisions of Phillips Van Heusen, Inc. Prior to joining Phillips Van Heusen, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Gant, Inc. He also served as vice president and general merchandise manager of Metro Pants, a division of The Melville Corporation and earlier was a merchandise manager for men's sportswear with Yves St. Laurent in Paris. Ellery received his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and biology from Long Island University. He has served as a vice president and director of The Children's Blood Foundation and as a director and member of the development committee for The Culinary Institute of America.
