Fernando is based in Barcelona, where he opened a new Boyden office in September 2000. His consulting practice focuses on top-level searches, also conducting middle management assignments for both national and international clients.

Prior to joining Boyden, he worked with other executive search firms. Previously, he was the Managing Director of the Spanish subsidiary of a German multinational publishing group (+15 years). Earlier, he held a senior marketing position in one of the leading food companies in Spain.

He serves on the board of directors of Samalús Termal, a new Spa development near Barcelona. He previously served twelve years on the board of Mundo Actual de Ediciones until its takeover.

Fernando has a B.S. degree in Business Economics & M.B.A. from ESADE, speaks fluent English, French, German and is bilingual Spanish-Catalan. He served as a field guns officer in the Spanish Army.
