Mr. Rich has worked in or recruited for virtually all segments of the financial services industry. Today Mr. Rich is focused on serving the financial services and business and professional services industries, as well as conducting searches for C-level and board of director positions across several industries. A graduate of Lafayette College with a degree in chemistry, Mr. Rich has an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago, and a post graduate degree in accounting from New York University.
Mr. Rich has a broad business background including experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at such firms as GE Capital, Citibank, Kuhn, Loeb & Co., and Peat Marwick Mitchell. He joined Citibank in New York City, initially covering the OPEC countries and led a swat team that transacted the first deutschemark denominated issue for the Government of Nigeria. He worked in Dubai as deputy head of operations for the Persian Gulf, later moving to Athens. He has also worked in the public sector for the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, where he was director of housing finance.
Previously, Mr. Rich was on the board of trustees of Lafayette College and on the board of directors of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC). He also served on the international board of directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, where he was on the executive committee and chairman of the nominating committee. Today, he serves on its board of chancellors. He received the Eleanor H. Raynolds Award for combining excellence in search with a commitment to volunteerism. Mr. Rich was selected as one of North America’s top recruiters in John Sibbald’s book, The New Career Makers.
