Prior to the merger between GML Consulting and Boyden Global Executive Search in Greater China, Thomas King was the Chief Representative/Senior Consultant of GML Beijing Office since 1996.

Thomas started his career as a statistician in the Department of Industry and Transportation in State Statistics Bureau of China, where he specialized in analysis and forecasting of the development of industrial products and markets. After seven years he joined Beijing PEI International Economic and Trading Consulting Company as a Research Manager. He undertook not only market research in industry and consumer fields but also provided executive search for multinational companies.

Before his career in the executive search industry, he has 10 years’ experience in market research and human resources management consulting. He is particular experienced in manpower planning, compensation and benefits survey, performance management and organization development. He is also highly experienced in operating in China, having been to more than 30 cities.

Today with Boyden, Thomas specializes in the manufacturing sectors, chemical, transportation and logistics, professional and IT services, system and software with functional concentrations in General Management, R&D, Operations, Human Resources, Sales/Marketing and Finance/Accounting. He has 12 years of solid experience in the executive search business.  

Thomas is an experienced, results-driven professional in executive search and has a proven track record for delivering quick and satisfying results to both multinational and local clients. He also has experience in logistics and sourcing, administration, account management, legal counseling, market research and architecture design business. As an executive search consultant Thomas is a well-reputed generalist.

Thomas has a Bachelor degree in Statistics from People’s University of China and MBA degree from New Port University, USA. He speaks native Mandarin and is fluent in English.
