Jakob Stengel Hansen is an Associate Partner at the Boyden Denmark office. Prior to joining Boyden, Jakob spent his career in senior management positions with large multinational industry leaders within financial services and insurance such as Willis, AIG, Chubb and Codan.

During his career, Jakob has gained significant consulting experience as a trusted advisor for a vast number of Denmark’s Top 200-companies, and extensive business experience from international and cross-cultural corporate environments.

His search experience includes assignments for executives, managers and non-executive board members both nationally and internationally for leading multinationals and Danish companies. Assignments have included a variety of industries and functions, particularly in Financial Services, Professional and Legal Services, Private Equity companies and their portfolio companies, and Industrial companies in general. He furthermore sits in the Boyden Financial Services Practice Group.

Jakob holds a degree as Master of Law from the University of Copenhagen, and has in addition completed various executive programs from leading management schools.

Jakob is furthermore a member of The Danish Management Society as chairman and founder of VL53, and has served on a number of executive and advisory boards in Danish companies.

In 2000, he co-authored the book “IT FAKTA – Jura & Sikkerhed” published at Thomsons Forlag and additionally he is a frequent speaker on the topics of corporate governance and career development.
