John Cornille is a Managing Director in the Life Sciences Practice of Boyden Global Executive Search. John has an extensive background in pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and medical devices. As President, CEO, and Board Member of several Life Sciences Companies, he has an established record of accomplishment as an industry leader.  He has built and run both public and private companies, established start-ups, and consulted to the Life Science Industry.

Prior to joining Boyden, John was a Vice President at Ken Clark International in their Life Sciences & Venture Capital practices. Prior to Ken Clark International, John ran a successful consulting practice that focused on helping biopharmaceutical, medical products, consumer products, and Venture Capital companies in the areas of strategic planning, business plan review, product development, regulatory submission, business development, manufacturing, distribution, and sales and marketing.

For eight years, as President and CEO of Bracco Diagnostics Inc., a specialty R&D based pharmaceutical company, he established and led drug discovery, licensed and acquired both pre-clinical, and marketed products, led all clinical and commercial operations, and grew revenues of this enterprise to over $330 million per year. Under his leadership, Bracco Diagnostics Inc. became one of the leading Medical Imaging and Diagnostics Pharmaceutical Companies in North America.

Prior to leading Bracco, he was Director of the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Group, and Vice President of U.S. Operations of Eastman Kodak’s Pharmaceutical Group, Sterling- Winthrop Inc. (now known as Sanofi-Aventis, and G.E. Health). He was responsible for pipeline valuation, mergers and acquisitions, global business integration, and all U.S. operations of a $1.2 billion pharmaceutical business.

His industry experience and expertise includes leadership of drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing and distribution, medical and regulatory, marketing, sales, finance, legal affairs, business development, information technology, human resources, and global operations. He has orchestrated pre-IPO activity, interfaced with the financial community, the FDA, Group Purchasing Organizations, the medical community, and has successfully built companies from concept to commercialization.  He has served on numerous industry advisory boards, and was a Founding Trustee of the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey.

Throughout his career he has always recognized that no business plan or strategy can be implemented without the efforts of many talented and dedicated people.  He prides himself on his ability to recruit, and motivate the best and the brightest talent around, and his network of key contacts in the Life Sciences, built over a 30-year career, is second to none.  Mr. Cornille has a BS in Psychology and Natural Science, and an Executive MBA from Wharton, the University of Pennsylvania.
