Richard A. McCallister joined Boyden in 1989. Previously he was President of William H. Clark Associates, Inc. In 1989, the two firms merged. He has over 25 years of extensive experience in management consulting and executive search for a broad base of clients, including Fortune 500, middle market and privately held companies, financial institutions and nonprofit organizations, as well as professional service and fund management firms.

During the past two decades, Mr. McCallister has successfully handled CEO and senior executive search assignments, serving an extensive range of organizations and their boards. His experience includes agricultural products, capital goods, consumer products, distribution and supply chain, electronic components, life sciences/pharmaceuticals, industrial products/manufacturing, office products, professional services, and technology. He has worked extensively with multinational companies on a global basis. Richard’s professional reputation as a consultant to boards of directors and management is well established, and he is often called upon to provide counsel on organizational development, succession planning and executive compensation.

Mr. McCallister has served on the board of directors of three publicly held corporations. In addition, he has been an advisory board member for three privately held companies. Richard presently serves on the board and is chairman of the compensation committee of Spirian Technologies, a venture backed technology company. He is the president of the board for a private membership organization and acts as a consultant to the owners of a privately held manufacturing company. Recently, Richard joined the board of a private equity fund and will participate as an investment advisor.

As the global practice leader for Boyden’s manufacturing practice, Mr. McCallister has worked extensively with companies in regard to their supply chain management issues. He has written articles, and has been a speaker at logistics and distribution seminars to augment management’s thinking about their internal practices and ultimate customer service.

Twice cited in The New Career Makers - North America’s Top Executive Recruiters, a Harper Business publication, Mr. McCallister has also served on the board of the Association of Executive Search Consultants. He is often a speaker on topics ranging from organizational development and executive mobility to compensation and supply chain management. Richard was instrumental in developing, and has completed, the Boyden Advanced Management Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

His previous experience includes nearly a decade with Price Waterhouse, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, in management consulting.
