Boyden Global Executive Search Re-elects Trina Gordon Chairman
Jim Hertlein in Houston and Erkki Panula in Helsinki election as Directors to further boost firm’s growing global energy and technology practices
NEW YORK – Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, today announced the results of its Board of Directors elections held in New York. Trina Gordon was re-elected to a second two-year term as Chairman, extending her leadership as the first woman to lead a global executive search firm.
Elected to first terms as Directors were Jim Hertlein, Managing Director Houston and a member of the firm's Global Industrial Practice, and Erkki Panula, Senior Partner of Boyden Helsinki and a leading member of the firm's Global Technology Practice.
In addition, Dr. Gerhard Raisig, Managing Partner of Boyden Bad Homburg, and Robert Travis, Managing Director of Boyden Calgary and Atlanta, were both re-elected to new two-year terms as Board Members.

Trina Gordon, Re-Elected Chairman and Board Member: Ms. Gordon joined Boyden in 1990 and has served as a Board Member since 2001. With more than 25 years of industry experience, she is a member of the following Boyden Specialty Practices: Board of Directors, Consumer Products and Human Resources. She has led Board, CEO, COO and other C-suite searches for Fortune 500 and private corporations. Ms. Gordon has keynoted the Executive Search Summit, the industry's largest U.S. conference, and she participated in Fortune's elite Most Powerful Women Summit.
Jim Hertlein, New Board Member: Jim Hertlein entered the practice of executive search following a career in private industry, including 23 years with Schlumberger and assignments in several European countries and North Africa. As Boyden's Managing Director in Houston, he brings deep insight into the composition and performance expectations for all traditional functional positions in corporate organization structures, as well as those unique to the global energy and chemical process industries. A native of the United Kingdom, he received a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham.
Erkki Panula, New Board Member: Erkki has an extensive business background in the global technology industry. During his 20 year operational career he has held several P/L responsible positions within sales and marketing as well as general management for international and global businesses. Currently Senior Partner, Boyden Helsinki, Mr. Panula has also recruited numerous senior executives and professionals. Previously he was a Management Group Member and Executive Vice President for Global Sales and Partners at enterprise network security solutions provider, Stonesoft Corporation. He was also responsible for all Stonesoft regional/country operations in the USA, EMEA and APAC. Prior to Stonesoft, he worked in Switzerland for Tech Data International as a Management Group Member and Managing Director for Cisco Telecommunications and Networking Solutions Business Unit in Europe, Middle East and Africa. He received a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from the Swedish Technical Institute, Helsinki.
