DETROIT – Boyden a global leader in executive search with more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, today announced that beginning June 1, Boyden will support its Michigan operations with the resources from its New York office, one of the firm’s largest offices in North America.

Damian Zikakis, who joined Boyden in 2003, will provide continuity in serving this critical market, and be based in Detroit. Additionally, Dennis Sullivan, former head of Boyden Detroit and well respected search professional, will participate in an advisory role in the operations of the office.

“Supporting Detroit operations from New York will allow greater client and candidate development in both markets,” said Chris Clarke, President and CEO of Boyden World Corporation. “Boyden is committed to investing in the Greater Detroit market, and the synergy with New York’s team of industry leading professionals will bring tremendous power to invigorate our client work and regional growth.”

“Our investment in Detroit is a terrific example of Boyden using its entrepreneurial culture to reduce commitment in certain sectors while it invests in key practices such as the Board Practice and Healthcare,” said Trina Gordon, Chairman of Boyden World Corporation and Managing Director of Boyden Chicago. “As other competitors cut deeply, Boyden’s major hub offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific are attracting some of the industry’s top talent in executive search.”

In recent years, Boyden’s Detroit office has placed executives with major organizations including Henry Ford Health System, Pentastar Aviation, Textron, Crain’s, United Way, Leader Dogs for the Blind, PPG, The Skillman Foundation, Learning Care Group, Dura Automotive, Severstal, and Energy Conversion Devices. The firm manages recruiting assignments for CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, Heads of Human Resources and other senior executives.

Mr. Zikakas, 51, has served clients in a range of industries and successfully completed assignments for Cheif Financial Officers, Chief Information Officers, Directors of Human Resources and Mergers & Acquisitions, and other senior level postions. He served clients in the Industrial, Consumer, Financial Services and Not-for-Profit sectors.
