MADRID – Boyden, a global leader in executive search, has named Maximo Buch, Carlos Dafauce and José Lorca as Partners in Spain. Mr. Buch and Mr. Lorca will be based in the firm’s Valencia office and Mr. Dafauce will serve in Boyden Madrid.

“Maximo, Carlos and José add important experience for clients in Spain and for the Boyden team across the globe,” said Miguel Ángel Zuil, Managing Director of Boyden Madrid. “Their collective experience in working with the top leadership of multinationals and major consumer, financial and industrial enterprises will be invaluable as Spanish companies expand their partnerships throughout Europe, Asia/Pacific and the Americas.”

Mr. Dafauce, who most recently served as lead Partner for the Financial Services practice in Spain for another leading international search firm, will primarily focus on senior-level search in Corporate and Investment Banking, Retail Banking, Asset Management, Insurance and Real Estate. His experience also encompasses completion of CEO, COO, CFO and Board of Directors searches for Consumer and Retail companies. Prior to search, he served in various positions including senior management roles for Banco de Vizcaya, Lloyds Bank and Citibank/Citigroup. Mr. Dafauce, a Spanish national, speaks French and English.

For Boyden Valencia, Mr. Lorca brings more than 20 years experience in senior management for multinationals in the Industrial sector. Most recently, he served as Vice President of South Europe for Alcan Packaging, following a several year tenure as Managing Director and Country Manager. Previously, he managed Repsol Butano’s largest factory in Cartegena, Spain. Earlier in his career, he served as Branch Manager for Dun & Bradstreet’s Valencia office and Industrial Director for DGI.  Mr. Lorca, who specializes in Industrial recruiting, speaks Spanish and English.

Mr. Buch brings Boyden strong leadership experience in the Consumer Products and Industrial sectors. Prior to joining Boyden, he worked for 8 years in Private Equity, with a concentration on industrial investments in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Previously, he held CEO positions for Consumer and Industrial companies. Mr. Buch, a Spanish and German national, is fluent in Spanish, German and English.

Mr. Buch holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic University of Valencia and an MBA from IESE. Mr. Dafauce has a law degree from Autónoma University in Madrid and a graduate degree in International Banking from Manchester Business School. Mr. Lorca holds an undergraduate degree from Polytechnic University of Valencia and an MBA from ESADE Business School.
