BOYDEN LANDS INDUSTRY LEADER SAMANTHA ALLEN AS HEAD OF UK OFFICE

London — Boyden, a global leader in executive search, today announced that Samantha Allen has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of its UK office.  Ms. Allen will oversee the office’s client and partner management. John Ellis currently Managing Director and a Board Member of Boyden World Corporation, will remain Managing Partner and will oversee the firm’s UK office general management.

Ms. Allen joins Boyden after serving as Managing Partner of Whitehead Mann’s general industry group, which included the firm’s Consumer, Healthcare and Industry practices.  She has placed many influential leaders across these practices and in the past year, her team has assisted clients in the appointment of 60 Human Resources Directors/Heads. Her client list includes AstraZeneca, British Petroleum, Deloitte, InterContinental Hotels, London 2012, Marks & Spencer and Nestle.

Prior to her career in executive recruiting, Ms. Allen served as Group HR Director of Greene King from 1995-2001. Previously, she was HR Executive of Alfred Dunhill and HR Manager/Training Manager of Sainsbury.

Ms. Allen holds an MBA and MA in Employment Law and sits on the Editorial panel of Human Resources magazine. In addition, she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has worked extensively in the United States, Europe and Asia.
