As Managing Director at Boyden Mexico, Luis leads virtually all practice groups, including board search, cleantech, consumer products, education, financial services, human resources, industrial, life sciences & healthcare, not-for-profit, professional services, specialty, and technology.

He has been at the top of the executive recruiting industry in Mexico for over two decades, having served as general director for one major firm, and founding partner for another.

Prior to joining the search industry, Luis worked in insurance, where he was the Commercial Director for Seguros Azteca, SA. He previously headed the marketing and commercial areas of Assicurazioni Generali for their branch offices Seguros America Banamex and Angloamericana de Seguros SA. In addition, Luis created the marketing department for La Latinoamericana Seguros, SA, a highly-ranked insurance company in Mexico.

He also has valuable sales and marketing experience, gained at companies such as The Sydney Ross Co., Industrias H.24 (Airwick Industries), and Monsanto. He is a member of the board of directors for Grupo Gilardi Editores, a publishing company. Luis also served as Treasurer and Co-Founder of the Mexicana Association of Insurance Sales and Marketing Executives.

Luis holds a BA in economics from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional.
