J. Gregory Coleman is a Managing Director in the Global Financial Services Practice at Boyden’s New York office.

Mr. Coleman specializes in recruiting senior executives for both domestic and international positions in commercial/retail banking, investment banking, investment/wealth management, not-for-profit, insurance and human resources.

Prior to joining Boyden, Mr. Coleman was a Senior Client Partner at another top-tier global executive search firm for over 20 years. Over the course of his career there, Mr. Coleman headed the Financial Services Practice at a time when the firm went public, introducing the organizational concept of market subsectors. He also established the firm’s Human Resources Center of Expertise.

Before that he was vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank, in charge of executive and professional recruitment on a worldwide basis. Prior to joining Chase Manhattan, he was Director of Personnel and Administration for Paramount Pictures Corporation. He began his career in human resources at GTE Corporation.

Mr. Coleman was recently elected to the Board of Trustees at The Bronxville Adult School. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of the Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee and former President of The Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe Community Fund. He has also served as a member of the Bronxville Village Long Range Planning Committee.

Mr. Coleman holds a BBA degree from Manhattan College and an MBA from Fordham University. He served with distinction as First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star.
