Julia is the Managing Partner of Boyden Russia. She has also served as EMEA Regional Director, Board of Directors, of Boyden World Corporation, and is a member of its financial practice group.

Julia has enjoyed a successful career in executive search, with particular expertise in the industrial, financial services, and life science & healthcare sectors. She has posted an impressive track record in senior level assignments for local and multinational companies, including cross-border searches.

Prior to joining Boyden in 1998, Julia founded and ran Laum Consulting, one of the first Russian recruiting organizations. Working with the Russian labor market from its very formation, Julia has become a respected expert in management, organizational development, and HR-related issues.

Julia holds both a BA and MA from St. Petersburg State University. She also received extensive training as an organization development consultant from the Moscow Methodology Association. She has also completed training courses with the Institute of Directors (IoD), London.

Julia sits on the Executive Committee of American Chamber of Commerce in St. Petersburg, and was recently (2013) elected Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee. Her work with the Chamber of Commerce, along with her numerous well-received articles and public presentations, has greatly contributed to the development of cross-cultural communication and tremendous business growth throughout Russia.
