After consulting with key stakeholders at North Vancouver School District No. 44, The following opportunities and challenges have been identified for the new Superintendent/CEO.

North Vancouver School District No.44 is part of the Metro Vancouver area and spans both the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver.

The North Vancouver Board of Education is collectively responsible for making the major policy decisions governing all aspects of education within the School District as mandated in the School Act.

Framed by the picturesque North Shore Mountains and a bustling waterfront, North Vancouver offers unprecedented access to nature along with urban comforts.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Superintendent, as the Chief Executive Officer of the District, is responsible for the overall leadership, educational outcomes, and general management of the affairs of NVSD.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished, passionate educator who is currently in a district level, executive leadership role and brings a track record of success at all levels of the K-12 public education system.
