The Client

Our client is a global multibillion dollar chemicals company. The company is supported by a diverse high performing senior team with a strong culture and people centric approach to their business, they are growing exponentially. They are managing the tensions of a global enterprise with an eye on focusing on their teams and maintaining excellence throughout their divisions.

The Challenge

With headquarters in the US and the ongoing virtual environment, the CEO wanted to ensure his team is performing at their highest level to maximize engagement and effective communication across their global teams and stakeholders.

The Solution

The company wanted to assess and improve the performance of its senior leadership who represented a mixed level of experience in presenting to the diverse global audience of employees and stakeholders. We offered a customized virtual program of engagement for each participant to reflect their specific needs, which included a 3 part process to deliver the following outcomes.

Our sessions were eye-opening and impactful for everyone. Effective communication and presentation are something every leader needs to be good at, and we don’t really stop and work on often enough. The approach we took allowed us to remove office politics and other boundaries and instead really support our fellow leaders with clear and honest feedback. The benefits were obvious and immediate. We are all communicating better with an informed view of our individual strengths and weaknesses. An added benefit to having us interact with peers in a safe environment was that it also helped bring our leadership team closer together. We now continue to provide feedback, both positive and constructive, to each other in a more open way than ever before. Every leadership team should do this.

All participants completed a questionnaire, which laid the foundation for an individual assessment, followed up by one-on-one interviews to review the answers and additional self-assessment for areas for development. Phase 2 involved peer-to-peer presentations, both live and taped, assessments, and evaluations. Phase 3 was the final meeting with all participants highlighting trends, key observations, opportunities for improvements, and tools for continuing to build on the knowledge they have acquired through the training process with a written report.

The Result

Outcomes from the training were clear and supported by peer observations and feedback. Seasoned and skilled leaders shared their increased awareness and attention to areas for improvement as well as a creating a culture of trust and feedback for constructive criticism as a group.
