Claire Lauder and Francesca d'Arcangeli bring substantial expertise in interim management and executive search.

LONDON, October 3, 2017Boyden, a premier global talent and leadership advisory firm with more than 65 offices in over 40 countries, today announced the expansion of its Global Industrial Practice in the United Kingdom.

Claire Lauder, a widely recognised expert in the industrial and engineering sectors, joins as a Partner in Boyden UK Interim Management. Francesca d'Arcangeli, with 25 years of leadership experience, including 10 years in board and C-suite placement, has joined Boyden UK as a Managing Partner. Both will focus primarily on the industrial sector.

Lauder was previously a Director at another leading global interim management firm. d'Arcangeli returns to London after serving nearly a decade as a Managing Partner of Boyden Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

“The expansion of our UK Global Industrial Practice with the addition of Claire and Francesca is perfectly timed,” said Alastair Da Costa, Advisory Chair of Boyden UK and Nick Robeson, a Managing Partner of Boyden UK in a joint statement. “The industrial sector is undergoing significant change. Along with increased M&A activity, many industrial organisations are in a period of transformation and need to ensure the right leadership is in place. Claire and Francesca have the right experience and deep cultural understanding of the sector to work closely with Boyden clients to evolve their next generation of management. In such a dynamic sector, we find the close collaboration between executive search and interim management a compelling solution for our clients.”

Lauder has built an impressive track record supporting FTSE-listed, PE-backed and owner-managed small and medium sized companies. Her interim placements include CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Operations Directors, Finance Director, HR Directors, Supply Chain Directors, HR Directors and Sales & Marketing Executives. She has been honoured as a leading consultant in the annual Institute of Management Survey for four consecutive years.

d’Arcangeli, a leader in international search in the industrial and consumer sectors, is well-known for placing change drivers in board and C-suite roles. She brings a strong track record in multi-territory and developing market management. Earlier in her career, d’Arcangeli served as COO of a diversified regional investment group and Founder and Board Director of a UK management consulting firm, whose clients included Walmart, John Lewis and leading museums. She is proficient in Italian, French and Spanish.

“I’m looking forward to working with Boyden’s superbly experienced partners across the globe,” said Lauder. “The benefit of the firm’s established executive search and interim management offering is a great advantage to my clients.”

“It’s an optimal moment to return to London. The UK continues to be a major international hub and one where many global firms seek new leaders in the domestic market, Europe, as well as in key emerging markets,” added d’Arcangeli. “After serving the firm for nearly a decade in MENA, Boyden’s strong reputation in both Europe and abroad is an attractive offering for major multinationals.”

Earlier this year, Forbes ranked Boyden eighth among 250 organisations on its new list of Best Executive Search Recruiting Firms.
