A German automotive portfolio company is looking for an interim manager for its plant in Tunisia.

The Client

One of the world's leading suppliers of on-board networks, cables and plastics technology for the automotive supply industry was expanding and had extended its activities to include a site in Tunisia.

The Challenge

As Director of Human Resources, the interim manager was to introduce and establish structures and standards in HR and throughout the organization. This incorporated the spaces of enrollment of trained professionals and administrators - search, choice, contracts - along with the establishment of a reporting system to German headquarters. The on-site interim manager's communication skills with the French trade unions and employee representatives were of particular importance.

The Solution

Boyden France and Boyden Germany worked together to find an experienced manager who was familiar with the Arabic culture and language and at the same time had experience in working with a parent company from the DACH region.

The Result

The appropriate culture match led to success: Through intercultural competence and motivational skills, the interim manager was successfully able to get the local plant manager on board as well as the interests of the Tunisian subsidiary and Central European parent company.
