Unleashing the Power of Play

Dates: 13 September 2017 - 16 September 2017

Location: Telus Convention Centre | Calgary, Alberta

With members across 50 countries, the International Play Association has been working for more than 50 years to secure every child’s right to play and to promote healthy, high quality play opportunities and environments.

This year, IPA Canada is partnering with The City of Calgary to host the 20th IPA Triennial World Conference in Calgary, Alberta. Bringing together key researchers, practitioners, advocates and decision makers from nearly 60 countries to exchange ideas and inspire action about play, the conference will help to protect, preserve and promote the child’s right to play as a fundamental human right based on Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The conference will also be the catalyst to mobilize Canada to address and support the child’s right to play and serve as a platform from which to launch a Canadian play movement.

Boyden is committed to excellence in leadership and proudly supports IPA for leading and inspiring important social and policy change across Canada.
