Boyden's Leadership Series Features X5 Retail Group's Tatiana Kozhevnikova

HR Director of the largest retailer in Russia discusses talent management, the experience needed for HR success in a fast developing market and her views on repatriation

Moscow and New York, January 19, 2012 – Boyden, a global leader in executive search, today released its latest issue of the Boyden Leadership Series featuring an in-depth interview with Tatiana Kozhevnikova, HR Director of X5 Retail Group, Russia’s largest retailer and employer of 90,000 people.

The interview with Ms. Kozhevnikova features thoughtful insight on the opportunities and challenges in running the human resources operations of a large corporation, best practices in labor relations and organizational effectiveness, how HR has evolved and talent management in Russia.

Prior to taking the helm as HR Director of X5 in June 2011, Ms. Kozhevnikova served as Deputy General Manager of state corporation ROSATOM, one of the world’s largest companies in the nuclear energy industry. Before that, she served seven years as HR Director and board member for METRO C&C Russia. During her tenure, she built the company’s HR function from scratch and contributed to the opening of 48 METRO stores all over Russia. Ms. Kozhevnikova started her career in the early 1990’s at the Coca-Cola Company and continued in MARS LLC as an HR generalist. In 2001-2002, she was an HR and Professional Development Director at Ernst & Young CIS.  

Ms. Kozhevnikova holds a doctorate in Economics from Lomonosov Moscow State University. She also studied strategic talent management at London Business School.
