Boyden Global Executive Search Boosts Team In San Francisco

Three new senior recruiters bring deep expertise in Life Sciences, Technology and HR

SAN FRANCISCO, January 25, 2012 – Boyden, a global leader in executive search with more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, announced today that three new Managing Directors have joined its growing San Francisco office.

Trevor Pritchard, Michael Reid and Martie Bond bring impressive experience in working with boards and the C-suite in Technology, Pharmaceuticals, Biologics, Medical Devices, Financial and Professional Services, and for venture-backed companies. Ten managing directors are now based in Boyden’s San Francisco office.

Trevor Pritchard has ten years of senior executive recruiting experience in the pharmaceutical, biologics and medical device industries, and over 20 years of line management and leadership experience in the United States, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific Rim countries.  He has successfully completed multiple engagements for a broad array of clients, ranging from development-stage venture-backed companies to Fortune 500 multinationals, including Medtronic, Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of the Sanofi Aventis Group. Mr. Pritchard has collaborated closely with Boards, C-suite and senior managers on searches for positions at the Board, CEO, President and all functional levels across multiple Life Science verticals.

Prior to executive search, Mr. Pritchard held several leadership positions including President at Mentor Corporation (a publicly traded medical devices company, now a Division of Ethicon, a Johnson & Johnson company), and other senior executive roles at Sherwood/Davis & Geck (a $1 billion medical devices company that was a Division of Wyeth, now Pfizer) and Wyeth. He is fluent in Spanish.  

Mr. Pritchard received his BSc. in Economics (magna cum laude) from Seton Hall University and his MBA from Columbia University, with concentrations in Marketing, Finance, and International Business. 

Michael Reid is a leading member of Boyden's global financial services and global human resources practices and consults nationally with major corporations on "Inclusive Diversity Search,” an approach to inclusion in talent outreach and delivery that benefits the bottom line of an organization. Mr. Reid brings more than 20 years of success in management and process consulting, and organizational development and design for clients ranging from global public corporations to privately-held, equity-owned businesses and not-for-profits. He has conducted engagements in a variety of industries and functions including business unit leadership and C-level executives for the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, Blue Cross of California, Oracle, and AT&T.

Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Reid held top management positions in recruitment for banking and other industries at Hibernia Bank, Bank of America, Levi Strauss & Company and Cornell University. As an expert in HR, he is regularly quoted in key trade and HR publications.

Mr. Reid holds a Bachelor's degree in Education/Behavioral science from Mansfield University and a Masters in Secondary Education from Elmira College (US). He is also a graduate of the Master of Industrial & Labor Relations (MILR) program at Cornell's School of Industrial & Labor Relations.

Martie Bond brings more than 20 years of experience recruiting senior executives for leading technology companies, early-stage venture-backed companies and professional services companies. Within the technology sector, her market expertise includes enterprise software, SaaS, cloud-based software and mobile and wireless communications. Ms. Bond has completed numerous high-profile assignments for Board Members, CEOs and Vice Presidents in Sales, Marketing and Engineering for companies such as VMware, Vitria Technologies, Atheros (acquired by Qualcomm), Responsys, Packeteer (acquired by Blue Coat) and Accenture. Prior to joining Boyden, she served in senior roles at several boutique executive search firms in the Bay Area.  Ms. Bond is an active member of the Bay Area women’s leadership and entrepreneur organization, Watermark.

Ms. Bond graduated from the University of Arizona, Tucson with a B.A. degree in Business.
