May 12, 2021 - Today, we proudly announce Pernilla Medson, Managing Director of ResMed Sweden AB, as recipient of the Change Leader of the Year Award – Mid-Sized Companies, recognizing her successful leadership which enabled record deliveries of equipment to healthcare in the midst of the burning Corona crisis.

The Awards Jury shares their motivation for this year's celebrated recipient, Pernilla Medson, MD Sweden:

“Through her active leadership and ability to see opportunities, Pernilla Medson has made an outstanding contribution to solving the needs of healthcare and patients during an extremely challenging year. She effectively redirected the company´s business to focus on quickly implementing the necessary tools for digital patient care and enabling access to Covid-related equipment and consumables for healthcare. Pernilla's leadership has resulted in a good financial development and a strengthened position for ResMed, but at the same time it has been of great significance for healthcare as a whole. With curiosity, courage and creativity, she stimulates her organization, and her humility, warmth and clarity are appreciated by both employees and customers.”

The Change Leader of the Year Award recognizes business leaders who, in times of change, have led their team and operations in an inspiring and successful way. The award also reflects the company’s positive impact on society. This is the sixth year that the Change Leader of the Year Award has been presented.

The Change Leader of the Year – Mid-Sized Companies is the final of three categories to be awarded.  As in previous years, the awards are presented across the following categories: Large Companies, Medium-sized Companies, with one final category reflecting a unique theme for the year. This year, we presented the Crisis Manager of the Year category.

About Årets Förändringsledare / Change Leader of the Year Awards

Awards Criteria

The jury analyzes the candidates from three perspectives:

  1. Internal influence. This refers to results achieved by the change leader in his own organization through changes that have positively affected the financial result, staff, organization, etc.
  2. External influence. How the person's change management has successfully affected external stakeholders and contributed to society at large.
  3. Personality. The jury also weighs personality and the degree to which the candidate has acted as an example with a positive, engaging and inspiring way.
