Mentorship, sponsorship and guidance cited as tools for women to help others achieve personal and professional goals throughout their careers

CHICAGO, November 9, 2017 – Boyden’s President and CEO, Trina Gordon, recently spoke at the fifth annual Leadership Forum, hosted by FTI Consulting’s Women’s Initiative (WIN). The forum featured a panel of accomplished CEOs in support of the theme “Empowered Women Empower Women: Building the Ladder to Success.”

Gordon discussed her own early career, professional challenges, and how women can better support each other as they move up the organizational ladder. During the panel discussion, she highlighted that “all women must ensure their voices are heard and that they consistently demonstrate their skills and talents. When women offer a helping hand to other women, they both benefit.”

While women continue to represent a larger portion of the labor force and earn more college degrees than men, the share of women in leadership and executive roles is growing at a much slower rate. “It’s important for women to feel empowered not just at the senior executive level but throughout their career,” said Gordon.
