Boyden is pleased to share the appointment news of Shannon Crofton, a recruitment led by Kathryn Young

October 19, 2020 - Richmond, BC

For many who receive support from RSCL, Shannon has been there every step of the way. Shannon started with the organization in 1991 working at Pendleton House which at that time provided respite for children. Since then Shannon has worked in programs supporting individuals from childhood through every stage of adulthood, and has been instrumental in the growth of programs and supports offered by RSCL.

Prior to assuming the Acting Executive Director role, Shannon oversaw RSCL’s community inclusion programs for adults – LIFE Day Services, Employment Services, and Outreach – as well as the Family Respite and Family Resource Programs.  Shannon has developed strong relationships with individuals served, their family members as well as stakeholders in the community living sector. She is committed to supporting people to live rich, fulfilled lives.

“Over the past 9 months as Acting Executive Director, Shannon has demonstrated unwavering leadership,” says Board President Eve Minuk. “She has not only led the organization through an unprecedented health crisis, she has also continued to focus on delivering services that make RSCL a leader in the community living sector. I wish to extend my thanks to our hiring committee which included Board members and RSCL staff, and the executive recruiting firm contracted to assist with our search. After a comprehensive search, I am confident that under Shannon’s direction RSCL will continue to deliver the innovative services that make the organization exceptional.”
