Leadership Through Sport & Business

Leadership Through Sport & Business (LTSB) is a social mobility charity that brings together business leaders, Premier League football club foundations and education partners to prepare young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and place them in apprenticeships with major firms.

The goal is to help ensure those at risk of under-employment find careers equal to their ambition and ability by opening opportunities and levelling the playing field. LTSB focuses on diverse communities and addresses all forms of disadvantage – personal, in terms of adverse life events, as well as socio-economic, in terms of class boundaries and lack of social capital – to empower young people to become business leaders.

Preparing them for the world of work is foundational; thus the pre-work phase of LTSB’s programme is robust. This includes professional development and training for employability, such as interview coaching, CV training, and workshops and events with leading companies and business professionals. Transferable skills are developed through sports leadership coaching.

Boyden Partners contribute professional development support to Leadership Through Sport & Business by mentoring as well as hosting activities such as roundtable events, interview practice, and serving as judges on debate panels.
