The Client

The client is a traditional US company in the steel industry with headquarters in Texas. The company looks back on more than a hundred years of company history while making a name for itself as an innovative pioneer in the vertical business process of steel production. The business in Europe, which is operated from locations in the Balkans, among others, is to be restructured and repositioned.

The Challenge

The site with 3,000 employees in Croatia was to be wound up. This was to be done with expertise from similar cases as well as the appropriate local contacts to the relevant economic representatives, and within a reasonable time frame.

The Solution

Identified together with local Boyden partners, a seasoned CRO with many years of experience in Croatia in this regard. Familiar with the cultural peculiarities, he succeeded over the project period of 18 months in first establishing a social plan for the employees and finally selling the branch at the Croatian location.

The Result

The entire project was completed on budget and on time without any regional or national attention.
