Aly brings a rich level of experience in the not for profit sector including senior management positions at Canadian Red Cross and Canadian Cancer Society along with an extensive background in human resources management.
Operation Eyesight Universal is an international development organization working to eliminate avoidable blindness with the help of individual donations and support from service clubs, foundations, corporations and governments.
Based in Canada, Operation Eyesight Universal has brought sight-restoration and blindness-prevention treatment to millions of people since 1963. Today, Operation Eyesight's work is focused in the African countries of Ghana, Kenya and Zambia, and the Asian countries of Nepal and India – places where blindness can be deadly, especially to those who are very young, old or poor.
Operation Eyesight works in partnership with local governments, medical professionals and community development teams, building essential resources that give all people, including the poorest, access to the help they need.
