Barrie, ON  - Dec 09, 2022

After a thorough search process that included the use of a leading recruitment firm, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) officially announces the appointment of Jason Reynar as Vice President, Strategy, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, effective January 3, 2023.

“Jason brings a wealth of experience to this position having recently worked as the Strategic Advisor for the Town of Collingwood and in his former roles as Chief Administrative Officer with the City of Windsor and the Town of Innisfil,” says Gail Hunt, RVH president and CEO.  “Jason’s experience and skills, as well as his unique mix of entrepreneurial spirit, strategic critical thinking, and intimate knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in this region, ensure he will be instrumental in helping RVH deliver our vision for the future to all residents of Simcoe Muskoka.”

Locally, Reynar was actively involved in the stakeholder engagement, vision, design, construction, and operation of the Rizzardo Health and Wellness Centre. He was also extensively involved in the municipal oversight of Friday Harbour All Seasons Resort, the largest inland marina resort in North America. Reynar also led the team that reimagined Innisfil’s public transit system powered entirely by ridesharing – a global first. In addition, he was a part of RVH’s capital planning committee that worked through the site selection process and initial stages of the process for the health centre’s South Campus.

“I am very familiar with RVH’s ambitious plans for the future, having worked on the South Campus site selection process, and I am excited to be a part of a dynamic team that is changing the landscape of healthcare for the people of Simcoe Muskoka,” says Jason Reynar.

Reynar’s academic background includes an LL.B. and Master of Law from Osgoode Hall Law School; M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Business (York University); and a B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Guelph.
