Vision
The best life for every child and youth.
Mission
CHEO provides exceptional care and advance how children, youth, and families obtain it through partnership, research, and education.
Values
Respect each other. Support people on their journey. Innovate and challenge the status quo. Create new knowledge, learn, and teach.
Twice named the best place to work in Canadian healthcare by Forbes, CHEO is building on its momentum and embarking on a multi-year campus redevelopment plan that will modernize, improve, and expand its capacity to connect care for children and youth with complex medical, developmental, behavioural, and mental health needs.
Success of this and other innovative initiatives will require a team effort and a CEO who can confidently, astutely, and collaboratively lead an expansive and dynamic operation, and navigate a complex ecosystem that spans local, regional, provincial, national, and Indigenous communities, organizations, and governments. Under the broader CHEO umbrella, these include the CHEO Foundation and donors, the CHEO Research Institute, the Kids Come First Health Team, and the Children’s Hospital Academic Medical Organization (CHAMO). Externally, its partners include Children’s Health Coalition, Provincial Council on Maternal-Child Health, Children’s Healthcare Canada, many medical and healthcare partners, community partners, federal/provincial/territorial government ministries and agencies, and the Premier’s office.
For half a century and beyond, CHEO redefines what it means to be a hospital—because KIDS THESE DAYS deserve the most innovative care available. To learn more about CHEO's Strategic Plan, please view the PDF attached below:
