1. Experience & Expertise:
- Leadership (Managing Partner, Partner, or equivalent) experience in direct and fund venture capital investing including having investment authority and portfolio management experience.
- Demonstrated investment leadership, including guiding teams and setting strategic investment direction.
- Experience managing a portfolio of early-stage companies to achieve optimal returns while managing risk. Ideally brings background providing counsel and strategic advice to portfolio companies and their management teams.
- Tenure working with a Board of Directors, an understanding of public sector, and familiarity with Crown corporation governance would be a significant asset.

- Extensive knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and portfolio management principles.
- Expertise developing and implementing an organization’s investment strategy.
- Experience identifying, assessing and mitigating investment risks, ensuring portfolio is appropriately diversified and aligned with IPS.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills to assess investment opportunities, evaluate performance, and manage risk effectively.
