Meet the Board:
Jörg Kasten, a Managing Partner in Boyden’s Frankfurt office, has over 20 years’ experience in executive search, with a focus on cross-border searches in the technology, professional services and consumer products sectors. His global expertise has helped multinational clients secure successful placements for a range of leadership positions, particularly at the partner and top executive level.
Trina Gordon is a recognized leader in talent advisory and leadership solutions. Guiding our global organization, she works closely with the board, practices and partners to execute the firm's strategy, growth and client performance standards in alignment with long-term objectives. Trina also oversees the firm’s continuous development, with a commitment to promoting a client-centric focus.
William Farrell has been with Boyden for over 20 years. As the former lead in Greater China, he has extensive experience working across the Asia Pacific region. He has expertise working in Chinese speaking business communities and has comprehensive knowledge of the Southeast Asia market. His substantial search experience includes in-depth exposure to manufacturing, shipping and logistics, this is in addition to his work in financial services. Bill is currently leading Boyden’s Taiwan and South Korea offices, and focuses on recruiting for Board, CEO and other leadership roles across functional lines.
Jim Harmon is one of Canada’s most experienced technology sector search professionals. Over two decades, he has completed hundreds of searches for clients ranging from early-stage start-ups, to global public companies. His work has focused on board, C-suite, and VP recruitment, including dozens of CEOs. Jim also specializes in recruiting transformative IT, data and digital leadership talent.
A varied management background has made Kjetil Haug-Nodeland an ideal executive search generalist, which he has been for more than 18 years. Along with broad industry expertise, Kjetil has a remarkably keen sense of the qualities needed for success in senior management. He also works regularly with corporate boards to recruit new directors, assess effectiveness, and plan CEO succession.
With over 20 years’ experience in executive search, Carita Lahti leads board and C-level searches, and conducts board and leadership review and development. She brings a flexible, creative mind-set to clients seeking transformational leaders who can motivate diverse teams to enhance business. Carita is also an active member of the Consumer & Retail, Industrial and CEO & Board Practices.
Managing Partner Ulrich Schumann specialises in executive recruiting for the technology sector. A former leader of the Technology Practice, he focuses on new areas within international IT, telecommunications, new media, Internet, software, IoT, analytics and big data. In addition to technology, Ulrich works on board appointments as well as searches in cleantech, consumer, industrial and retail.
Robert Travis is a Managing Partner in both Canada and the United States. He focuses primarily on the manufacturing, fabrication, energy/energy services and technology sectors. A citizen of both Canada and the U.S., he is attuned to the subtle differences in leadership requirements in each country, specializing in serving clients with business interests in both the US and Canada.
