Disability Confident Employer

Disability Confident is a voluntary government scheme developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives to help employers recruit, retain and develop disabled employees.

In the interest of fostering a deeper understanding of the rich talent resources to be found within the disabled community, and the value of greater inclusion, the programme provides guidance and information to help organisations think differently about disability and take steps to make their workplaces more accessible.

While one in five people in the UK has some form of disability or chronic health condition, there remains a lack of visibility and representation in society overall, and particularly at the senior leadership and board levels. To help rectify this inequity, we work with clients to ensure greater representation. This includes sharing best practices and advice on culture change, hiring, onboarding, and providing support to allow disabled employees to flourish.
