Six business leaders with experience ranging from global health to design thinking, finance, and law have received appointments as either executives in residence or adjunct professors at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. The appointees will bring their global experiences to several student, research, and teaching initiatives across the Rotman School.
Emma Aiken-Klar has been appointed as an executive in residence working with the Rotman School’s Business Design Initiative (BDI), an education centre that brings together students, researchers and industry to tackle real-world business challenges to advance innovation practice and learning. She is a member of the BDI advisory board. Previously she was Senior Vice President, Global Insights and Chief Anthropologist with Idea Couture. She holds a PhD in anthropology from the University of Toronto.
Mark Britnell will be an executive in residence and senior fellow with the Sandra Rotman Centre for Health Sector Strategy. From 2009 to 2020, he served as Global Chairman and Senior Partner, Healthcare, Government & Infrastructure for KPMG International and is based in London, UK. Prior to joining KPMG he served as Chief Executive of University Hospitals Birmingham in the UK’s National Health Service. Recently he was a guest lecturer in the Rotman School’s Global Executive MBA for Healthcare and the Life Sciences program, speaking from his first book In Search of the Perfect Health System. He holds a degree from the University of Warwick.
